Abstract

Covid-19 is a challenge for educators in developing education so that the knowledge can be transferred well. Education innovations that have occurred due to technological developments and the Covid-19 pandemic have caused lecturers to need innovation capabilities so they can adapt to recent innovations. This research was conducted to determine the influence of leadership and organizational culture on innovation capabilities and whether knowledge management can mediate the relationship between these variables. The respondents in this research were 111 permanent lecturers who had worked for at least one year in DKI Jakarta. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling and questionnaire were distributed with google forms. Partial least squares – structural equation modeling was used for analysis using Smart PLS 4. The results show that organizational culture and knowledge management positively influence the innovation ability of teaching staff, but leadership does not influence innovation capability. Organization culture and leadership positively influence knowledge management in educational institutions. Knowledge management can partially mediate the relationship between organizational culture and innovation capability, but cannot mediate the relationship between leadership and innovation capability.


Covid-19 menjadi tantangan bagi pendidik untuk mengembangkan pendidikan agar pengetahuan dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. Inovasi pendidikan karena pandemi covid-19 dan perkembangan teknologi menyebabkan tenaga pendidik memerlukan kemampuan inovasi agar dapat beradaptasi dengan inovasi terkini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap kemampuan inovasi serta apakah manajemen pengetahuan dapat memediasi hubungan antar variabel tersebut. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 111 dosen tetap yang telah bekerja minimal satu tahun di DKI Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non-probability sampling dan kuesioner disebar menggunakan google forms. Metode analisis menggunakan PLS-SEM dengan aplikasi Smart PLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan budaya organisasi dan manajemen pengetahuan mempengaruhi secara positif kemampuan inovasi tenaga pendidik, namun gaya kepemimpinan tidak mempengaruhi kemampuan inovasi. Budaya organisasi dan gaya kepemimpinan mempengaruhi secara positif manajemen pengetahuan. Manajemen pengetahuan dapat memediasi parsial hubungan budaya organisasi dan kemampuan inovasi namun tidak dapat memediasi hubungan gaya kepemimpinan dan kemampuan inovasi.
