Hubungan Kelelahan Emosi dan Work Engagement: Peran Resiliensi Sebagai Moderator

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah resiliensi berperan sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara kelelahan emosi dan work engagement. Kelelahan emosi dapat diartikan sebagai kondisi dimana seseorang merasakan kejenuhan/kebosanan, kurang bersemangat, kurang berdaya dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan pribadi atau dalam melayani klien. Work engagement adalah keadaan pikiran yang positif, yang dicirikan dengan adanya dedication, vigor, dan absorption pada diri individu (Schaufeli et al. 2002). Penelitian sebelumnya (Ferreira et al., 2018) menyatakan bahwa tingkat kelelahan emosi dapat memprediksi penurunan work engagement. Untuk itu, perlu diusahakan bagaimana mengidentifikasi kelelahan emosional, agar work engagement tidak menurun. Dalam penelitian ini, resiliensi diajukan sebagai moderator antara kelelahan emosi dan work engagement. Resiliensi adalah kemampuan individu dalam mengembalikan diri dari kondisi yang buruk menuju kondisi yang lebih baik (Luthans 2002). Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur kelelahan emosi adalah Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) dari Kristensen et al., (2005). Kemudian alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur work engagement adalah Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) oleh Schaufeli et al., (2006). Resiliensi diukur dengan Connor-Davidson Resilience scale (CD-RISC), yang dikemukakan oleh Connor dan Davidson, (2003). Jumlah partisipan pada penelitian adalah 120 orang, bekerja sebagai karyawan swasta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi tidak berperan sebagai moderator antara kelelahan emosi dan work engagement. Pada partisipan yang memiliki resiliensi rendah maupun tinggi, kelelahan emosi tidak memprediksi turunnya work engagement.
