Pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan karakteristik individu terhadap kinerja karyawan dimediasi kepuasan kerja

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between work environment, individual characteristics, job satisfaction and employee performance at PT XYZ. The study uses a quantitative approach. Data collected by questionnaire to all employees of PT XYZ in September 2024. The research population was the total 74 employees of PT XYZ. The samples used in this study are 73 respondents. Proportionate stratified sampling was used Data analysis uses software in the form of Smart PLS, with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. This study findings indicate that the work environment has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction. Work environment has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Individual characteristics has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction. Individual characteristics has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Job satisfaction plays a role as a mediating variable between work environment and employee performance. Good individual characteristics and supportive work environment will be more effective in improving, performance when accompanied by a high level of job satisfaction. This means that job satisfaction is able to strengthen the relationship between individual characteristics and the work results achieved by employees.


Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dari lingkungan kerja dan karakteristik individu yang di mediasi oleh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja kerja karyawan. Penelitian di lakukan di Perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang services. Pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Kuesioner dibagikan ke seluruh karyawan PT XYZ yang dilakukan pada bulan September 2024. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 74 yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel. Analisis data menggunakakan software berupa Smart PLS, dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Lingkungan kerja juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Karakteristik individu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Karakteristik individu juga berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT XYZ. Kepuasan kerja berperan sebagai variabel mediasi antara lingkungan kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Lingkungan kerja yang baik pada akhirnya berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kinerja mereka, karena mereka merasa didukung dan difasilitasi dalam mencapai tujuan mereka. Kepuasan kerja memediasi pengaruh karakteristik individu terhadap kinerja karyawan. Karakterisitik yang dimiliki setiap individu berperan dalam proses mencapai tujuan mereka, karena terbentuk oleh ide-ide yang dalam pencapaian kerja. Karakteristik individu yang baik serta lingkungan kerja yang mendukung, akan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja ketika diiringi dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja yang tinggi. Artinya, kepuasan kerja mampu memperkuat hubungan antara karakteristik individu dan hasil kerja yang dicapai oleh karyawan.
