Identifikasi Faktor Procrastination (Studi Pada Mahasiswa yang Sedang Mengerjakan Tugas Akhir)

Abstract
Procrastination adalah perilaku menunda yang dilakukan individu sehingga merasa tidak nyaman. Selain itu, dampak dari procrastination adalah efek negatif seperti performa dan kesejahteraan mental yang menurun. Fenomena procrastination banyak ditemukan pada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk melihat faktor mana yang menjadi alasan terbesar mahasiswa melakukan procrastination pada pengerjaan proposal skripsi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat procrastination mahasiswa dan alasan-alasan mahasiswa melakukan procrastination. Procrastination yang dimaksud adalah perilaku menunda dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir (menyusun proposal penelitian). Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa minimal semester 7 (n = 50) yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah Proposal Skripsi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan kuesioner. Hasilnya adalah rata-rata skor procrastination yang dilakukan oleh partisipan cenderung tinggi. Tiga faktor yang memiliki koefisien tertinggi adalah: (a) perfectionism (r = 0.68, p = 0.00); (b) evaluation anxiety (r = 0.59, p = 0.00); dan (c) lack of self confidence (r = 0.53, p = 0.00). Berdasarkan hasil yang ditemukan, peneliti menyarankan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menangani faktor-faktor tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
