Abstract

Sarapan merupakan kebiasaan yang banyak dimiliki setiap orang. Sarapan yang dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi dan asupan kalori memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan seseorang. Salah satunya adalah kesehatan mental, khususnya depresi. Salah satu populasi masyarakat yang rentan terkena depresi adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran, yang pada umumnya memiliki beban dan tuntutan akademik yang berat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara frekuensi dan asupan kalori sarapan dengan prevalensi depresi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross-sectional yang melibatkan 91 orang mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara angkatan 2019. Frekuensi dan asupan kalori pada sarapan dinilai menggunakan kuesioner pola sarapan selama 2 minggu kebelakang. Prevalensi depresi dinilai menggunakan instrumen kuesioner Zung Self Rating Depression Scale (ZSDS). Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan metode Chi-square dengan interval kepercayaan 95% (? = 0,05) dan dengan nilai p sebesar 0,000005 dan 0,00034. Pada penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara frekuensi dan asupan kalori sarapan terhadap prevalensi depresi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara angkatan 2019.
