PERANAN AGEN PERUBAHAN 98 SETELAH 25 TAHUN REFORMASI

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The 1998 Reformation was a historic moment in social and political change in Indonesia. After twenty five years have passed. The agents of change (activists) 98 also color their positions and roles in various fields in Indonesia. This research was created in order to record the lives of today's change agents. The research uses a critical perspective with a transdisciplinary approach, namely Anthony Giddens' structuration theory. The research is a continuation of the Higher Education Leading Applied Research (PTUT) which was carried out in 2017/2018. The research subjects were specially selected (perpusive sampling), namely agents of change (activists) mass nodes (leaders) from several campuses who are members of the movement student of the Student Action Front for Reform and Democracy (Famred) in 1998 and currently has work/influence in certain fields. Through structuration analysis, the roles, motivations and activities of the subjects in the present will be studied. The research was conducted in 2022, the research subjects were: Rm, Benny Hari Juliawan, SJ Provincial of the Indonesian Jesus Union, Savic Ali, Chairman of the Nadhatul Ulama Executive Board, Azmi Abubakar, Founder of the Peranakan Chinese Library Museum, and Chandra Citrawati, Cofounder of Javanica Publisher. The research results show that subjects have discursive awareness, are able to explain what they are doing and practical awareness, understand problems and apply ideas/theories in practice (real action). They are still consistent with the life values they believe in, work for others and bring about positive change.

ABSTRAK

Reformasi 98 merupakan satu momentum bersejarah dalam perubahan sosial dan politik di Indonesia. Setelah duapuluh lima tahun berlalu. Para agen perubahan (aktivis) 98 turut mewarnai posisi dan peran dalam berbagai bidang di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dibuat dalam rangka merekam kehidupan para agen perubahan saat ini. Penelitian menggunakan perspektif kritis dengan pendekatan transdisiplin, yaitu teori strukturasi dari Anthony Giddens. Penelitian merupakan kelanjutan dari Penelitian Terapan Unggulan Perguruan Tinggi (PTUT) yang pernah dilakukan pada tahun 2017/ 2018. Subyek penelitian dipilih secara khusus (perpusive sampling), yaitu para agen perubahan (aktivis) simpul massa (pemimpin) dari beberapa kampus yang tergabung dalam gerakan mahasiswa Front Aksi Mahasiswa untuk Reformasi dan Demokrasi (Famred) pada tahun 98 dan saat ini memiliki karya/ pengaruh pada bidang tertentu.  Melalui analisa strukturasi akan dikaji peran, movitasi dan aktivitas para subyek di masa kini. Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun 2022, subyek penelitian adalah: Rm, Benny Hari Juliawan, SJ Provinsial Serikat Jesus Indonesia, Savic Ali, Ketua Pengurus Besar Nadhatul Ulama, Azmi Abubakar, Pendiri Museum Pustaka Peranakan Tionghoa, dan Chandra Citrawati, Cofounder Javanica Publisher. Hasil penelitian subyek memiliki kesadaran diskursif, mampu menjelaskan apa yang mereka lakukan dan kesadaran praksis, memahami permasalahan dan menerapkan ide/ teori dalam praktek (tindakan nyata). Mereka  masih konsisten dengan nilai- nilai hidup yang mereka yakini, berkarya untuk sesama dan membawa dampak perubahan yang positif.
