PENGARUH PERSON JOB-FIT TERHADAP TURNOVER INTENTION PADA KARYAWAN DI INDUSTRI MANUFAKTUR PT. X

Abstract
PT X is an industrial company engaged in the manufacturing sector and is located in West Jakarta. Seeing
that the manufacturing sector is a business that contributes quite a lot to economic growth in Indonesia, it is
important for PT X to pay attention to and optimize its human resources. The problem that PT X is
experiencing is that many employees change jobs and try to find job vacancies at other companies. This of
course will have a negative impact on the company and employees. Therefore, this study aims to determine
the ef ect of person job-fit on employee turnover intention at PT X. Person job-fit is defined as the
compatibility of the skills possessed by an individual with the job or responsibilities given at work.
Meanwhile, turnover intention is defined as a desire or desire that is consciously owned by someone with
the intention of leaving the organization. The data collection process in this study used the Perceived Fit
Scale (PIS) and Turnover Intention Scale (TIS) questionnaires and succeeded in getting 144 participants.
The results of this study state that a person's job-fit has a negative and significant ef ect on turnover
intention with a value (β -0.465, p = 0.000).
