Main Article Content
Abstract
This research investigates the impact of financial performance factors on the value of a consumer goods sector company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2018-2022. Consumer goods companies play a crucial role in the economy as suppliers of consumer goods, and their financial performance is reflected in stock prices, which serve as market valuation indicators and investor confidence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this sector experienced a decline in demand and the complexity of external factors such as a decrease in purchasing power and economic factors like job loss or a decrease in income, emphasizing the relevance of sustainability integration in business strategies. The research problem formulation focuses on the influence of variables such as profitability, liquidity, solvability, and activity on the assessment of a consumer goods sector company. The research method used is a quantitative approach involving the exploration of financial reports during that period, using literature review methods and direct observation of financial reports of companies listed on the IDX. The research results show that EPS, ROA, and DER partially have a significant impact on the PER of consumer goods sector companies, while Current Ratio and Inventory Turnover do not have a significant influence. Collectively, these five variables significantly affect the PER of the company. The conclusion of this research provides valuable insights for industry players and capital market stakeholders, while also making an academic contribution to the understanding of the financial performance of consumer goods companies in Indonesia.
