Abstract

During pandemic, learning process changed into online method which often cause musculoskeletal complaint. This research aimed to discover the effect of isometric and isotonic exercises to nonspecific muscle pain on college students who went through online learning process. This study used qualitative quasi experiment to observe changes after exercise. The subjects were 40 college students aged 20-22 years old. Visual Analog Scale was used to measure paim grade before and after exercise. Exercise contained of isometric and isotonic exercises on neck, shoulder and back muscles. This exercise conducted 3 times a week, within 4 weeks and the duration of exercise was 20 minutes each. After 4 weeks of exercise muscle pain changed from average scale of 4 to 1 (p=0,001) with CI 95%. Conclusion of this study is isometric and isotonic exercises has effect on nonspecific muscle pain.
