Membangun Keunggulan Kompetitif Melalui Sumber Daya Internal: Studi pada XYZ

Abstract

Ketatnya persaingan mengharuskan semua perusahaan untuk memiliki strategi yang dapat menjadi nilai tambah untuk mencapai keunggulan kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dan mengembangkan model teoritis mengenai kompensasi & penghargaan, budaya, dan inovasi organisasi terhadap keunggulan kompetitif di ‘XYZ’ dengan menggunakan kinerja karyawan sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan sensus. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan survey dengan menyebar kuesioner ke seluruh populasi yang juga merupakan keseluruhan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Kuesioner didistribusikan kepada 62 karyawan aktif yang bekerja di ‘XYZ’. Model SEM-PLS digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh dan diolah menggunakan Smart PLS 4. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi & penghargaan, budaya organisasi, inovasi organisasi, dan kinerja karyawan secara positif dan signifikan mempengaruhi keunggulan kompetitif. Dalam hasil penelitian ini, kinerja karyawan mampu memediasi pengaruh kompensasi & penghargaan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Kebaruan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan kinerja karyawan sebagai variabel mediasi untuk menutup research gap pada penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi teoritis dalam memahami faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keunggulan kompetitif.


The intense competition in business requires all companies in the same industry with similar products to have strategies that can provide added value to achieve competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the influence and develop a theoretical model regarding compensation & rewards, organizational culture, and organizational innovation on competitive advantage in ‘XYZ’, using employee performance as a mediating variable. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method and a census sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through a survey by distributing questionnaires to the entire population, which also served as the total sample for this study. The questionnaires were distributed to 62 active employees working at ‘XYZ.’ The SEM-PLS model was used to analyze the collected data, which was processed using Smart PLS 4. The results indicate that compensation & rewards, organizational culture, organizational innovation, and employee performance positively and significantly influence competitive advantage. In this study, employee performance also successfully mediates the relationship between compensation & rewards and competitive advantage. The novelty of this research lies in the use of employee performance as a mediator to address the research gap in previous studies. The findings are expected to contribute theoretically to understanding the factors that influence competitive advantage.
