Pengaruh Pendidikan Kewirausahaan terhadap Intensi Berwirausaha pada Mahasiswa Universitas Swasta di Jakarta Barat: Efikasi Diri dan Motivasi sebagai Variabel Mediasi

Abstract

Berdasarkan kondisi ekonomi dan tantangan yang ada untuk dapat berkontribusi dalam pemulihan ekonomi negara, solusi yang dapat diberikan adalah membuat usaha baru. Oleh karena itu, intensi berwirausaha dikalangan mahasiswa harus ditingkatkan agar dapat mengatasi keterbatasan lapangan kerja baru. Semua faktor yang mempengaruhi intensi seseorang dalam kewirausahaan ini seringkali ditemukan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menjalani pendidikan sarjana dan sedang merencanakan karir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap intensi berwirausaha yang dimediasi oleh efikasi diri dan motivasi pada mahasiswa universitas swasta di Jakarta Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling karena pengambilan sampel terbatas pada karakteristik tertentu sesuai dengan informasi yang diinginkan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk google form yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa universitas swasta di Jakarta Barat. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 160 responden. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Pendidikan kewirausahaan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap intensi berwirausaha, 2) Pendidikan kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap efikasi diri, 3) Pendidikan kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap motivasi, 4) Efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh terhadap intensi berwirausaha, 5) Motivasi memiliki pengaruh terhadap intensi berwirausaha, 6) Efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh dalam memediasi pendidikan kewirausahaan dengan intensi berwirausaha, 7) Motivasi memiliki pengaruh dalam memediasi pendidikan kewirausahaan dengan intensi berwirausaha.
 

Based on the existing economic conditions and challenges to be able to contribute to the country's economic recovery, the solution that can be given is to create a new business. Therefore, the intention in entrepreneurship among students must be increased to overcome the limitations of new jobs. All of the factors that affect a person's intention in entrepreneurship are often found in students currently pursuing undergraduate education and planning future career paths when they graduate. This study aimed to test whether entrepreneurship education influences entrepreneurial intentions, which are mediated by self-efficacy and motivation in private university students in West Jakarta. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique because this sampling is limited to specific characteristics according to the desired information. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a google form distributed to private university students in West Jakarta. The number of samples used in this study was 160 respondents. The data analysis tool used was SmartPLS. The results of this study are 1) Entrepreneurship education has no effect on entrepreneurial intentions, 2) Entrepreneurial education has an influence on self-efficacy, 3) Entrepreneurship education has an influence on motivation, 4) Self-efficacy has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions, 5) Motivation has an influence on entrepreneurial intentions, 6) Self-efficacy has an influence in mediating entrepreneurship education with entrepreneurial intentions, 7) Motivation has an influence in mediating entrepreneurship education with entrepreneurial intentions.
