Pengaruh Kompensasi dan Motivasi terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT. Hasta Jaya Marina di Jakarta Pusat

Abstract
To survive in an excessively strict competitive market, every company strives to gain competitive advantage over one another. Human resources are one of the main factors for companies to reach success. Correspondingly, companies would need to put their employee’s performances as one of the top concerns. They need to grasp different factors that could influence employee performance for the better and for the worse, such as compensation and motivation. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of compensation and motivation on employee performance. This research was performed at PT. Hasta Jaya Marina, located in Central Jakarta. This research used conclusive causal design with quantitative approach. The population and sample of this study was all 50 employees who works at PT. Hasta Jaya Marina. Primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires to PT. Hasta Jaya Marina’s employees and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) facilitated by the SmartPLS software version 3.3.9. The results of this research indicates that compensation and motivation both has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Thus, all hypotheses in this research are supported. The results of this research are expected to accommodate companies in relation to issues regarding compensation, motivation, and employee performance.
