Pemetaan awal kadar vitamin D dan faktor-faktor yang dapat memengaruhi pada masyarakat di Kelurahan Tomang Jakarta Barat

Abstract

Vitamin D ialah salah satu vitamin larut lemak dan memiliki peran penting dalam homeostasis kalsium dan metabolisme tulang. Kekurangan vitamin D masih banyak terjadi baik di negara maju maupun berkembang, dengan prevalensi di seluruh dunia mencapai 1 miliar orang. Hubungan antara vitamin D dan berbagai masalah kesehatan pada orang dewasa sangatlah kompleks dan memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memahami sepenuhnya implikasi asupan dan status vitamin D terhadap kesehatan orang dewasa. Usia, ras, penggunaan tabir surya, pengobatan, dan penyakit malabsorpsi merupakan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kadar vitamin D. Studi ini bertujuan melihat gambaran awal faktor-faktor yang dapat memengaruhi kadar Vitamin D pada masyarakat di Kelurahan Tomang Jakarta Barat. Studi ini merupakan studi deskriptif dengan desain potong-lintang yang melibatkan 57 subyek. Pada studi ini didapatkan 94,7% subyek mengalami kekurangan Vitamin D. Beberapa faktor yang dapat memengaruhi antara lain usia, jenis kelamin, riwayat pendidikan, pendapatan, paparan terhadap sinar matahari, indeks massa tubuh, dan lingkar perut. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan antara faktor-faktor tersebut dengan kekurangan Vitamin D.
