Pengaruh asupan protein terhadap kualitas tidur pegawai bank

Abstract

Kualitas tidur penting untuk kesehatan dan kualitas hidup setiap orang. Seseorang dengan kualitas tidur yang buruk dapat mengalami stres, penurunan kognitif, kelelahan, gangguan kognitif, dan depresi. Sebaliknya, stres dan depresi  dapat menurunkan kualitas  tidur. Salah satu faktor yang menjaga kualitas tidur adalah serotonin yang dibuat oleh asam amino triptofan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan protein dengan kualitas tidur seseorang. Metode studi yang digunakan ialah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang telah diizinkan dan disetujui oleh kantor OCBC NISP Jakarta sebagai tempat pengambilan sampel dan komite etik penelitian Universitas Tarumanagara. Besar sampel studi ini ialah 152 orang yang diambil dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Data karakteristik, asupan protein dan kualitas tidur responden penelitian dikumpulkan masing-masing menggunakan lembar kuesioner identitas, semi quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) dan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Hasil studi didapatkan 61,3% orang dengan asupan protein kurang-cukup memiliki kualitas tidur buruk dan 66,7% orang dengan asupan protein lebih juga memiliki kualitas tidur buruk (p-value = 0,576). Kesimpulan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara asupan protein dengan kualitas tidur pada pegawai Bank OCBC NISP Jakarta.
