Abstract

The rapid growth of the national skincare and cosmetics industry has created enormous economic potential for Indonesia. However, behind this development lies a fundamental vulnerability, namely the high level of dependence on imported packaging materials, which currently reaches around 60 to 70 percent of total demand. This not only hampers the independence of the domestic cosmetics industry but also reduces the competitiveness of local products in the global market. To address this and strengthen the capacity of domestic resources, this study proposes and proposes the design of an industrial facility specifically focused on the production of cosmetic packaging bottles based on local resources. The analytical method used is a study of precedents and journals. The design approach used for this project is regenerative architecture, not only emphasizing sustainability but also aiming to restore and improve the condition of the surrounding environment. The implementation of this design is realized through the use of recycled materials, as well as the implementation of passive design strategies to maximize energy efficiency. These strategies include optimizing natural lighting, the use of solar panels to reduce fossil fuel consumption, and ergonomic and hygienic spatial planning for workers and visitors. By integrating regenerative principles and operational efficiency, this facility is expected to be able to reduce production costs, reduce carbon footprint, and become a pilot model for industrial architecture with a regenerative architecture concept that supports national cosmetics independence and encourages green economic growth in Indonesia.
