PENERAPAN METODE AKUPUNKTUR PERKOTAAN DALAM PERANCANGAN PUSAT RITEL, EDUKASI, DAN REKREASI OTOMOTIF DI SAWAH BESAR

Abstract

Sawah Besar is one of the automotive sector areas in Central Jakarta that has begun to experience a decline, for example, it is one of the parts store centers "Wisma Sawah Besar" which was once successful in the past but has experienced degradation. In this region, it can be seen that the culinary sector is more advanced so that the image of the automotive area has begun to fade, does not yet have an area attractor, and there is less public space. Therefore, there needs to be design and program interventions without forgetting the past and still looking at the future where the transition to the era of electrification is a challenge for the automotive industry. This project aims to revive degraded buildings through activities that do not yet exist in the region so that it can meet the need for public space and the attractiveness of the area. The data collection activity uses the Urban Acupuncture method which analyzes various conditions and characteristics ranging from the Sawah Besar area to find selected location points. The design method that will be used is Everyday Architecture by looking at the great needs of the community for new spaces and programs. After conducting the analysis, a proposed mixed program automotive retail and edutainment programs are produced. It will then produce the concept of a program of space, the form and composition of mass, outer space, and inner space. This project is expected to become a new attractor, meet the needs of public space, and help restore the fading image of the Sawah Besar automotive area.

Abstrak


Sawah Besar merupakan salah satu kawasan sektor otomotif di Jakarta Pusat yang mulai mengalami penurunan, contohnya adalah salah satu pusat toko onderdil “Wisma Sawah Besar” yang pernah berjaya dulu namun mengalami degradasi. Pada kawasan ini terlihat sektor kuliner lebih berkembang sehingga citra kawasan otomotif mulai memudar, belum memiliki atraktor kawasan, dan kurang akan ruang publik. Oleh karena itu perlu ada intervensi desain dan program tanpa melupakan masa lalu dan tetap melihat masa depan dimana peralihan menuju era elektrifikasi menjadi tantangan bagi industri otomotif. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk menghidupkan kembali bangunan yang terdegradasi melalui kegiatan yang belum ada di kawasan ini sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan akan ruang publik dan daya tarik kawasan. Dalam kegiatan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode akupunktur perkotaan yang menganalisis berbagai macam kondisi dan karakteristik mulai dari kawasan Sawah Besar hingga menemukan titik lokasi terpilih. Metode perancangan yang akan digunakan adalah arsitektur keseharian dengan melihat besar kebutuhan masyarakat akan ruang dan program baru. Setelah melakukan analisis dihasilkan usulan program campuran antara ritel, edukasi, dan rekreasi yang berhubungan dengan otomotif. Kemudian akan menghasilkan konsep program ruang, bentuk dan komposisi massa, ruang luar, dan ruang dalam. Proyek ini diharapkan dapat menjadi atraktor baru, memenuhi kebutuhan ruang publik, dan membantu mengembalikan citra kawasan otomotif Sawah Besar yang mulai memudar.
