PENERAPAN KONSEP SAFE MOBILITY DAN STRIP MOBIUS PADA DESAIN TRANSPOR HUB PULO GADUNG

Abstract

Pulo Gadung Terminal was once the busiest terminal because it served the most transportation between cities and islands in Jakarta. However, at this time, its function was experiencing a vital decline. Pulo Gadung Terminal which previously served inter-city and inter-provincial transportation, now only serves transportation within the city. Along with this decline, this terminal has experienced many forms of degradation in terms of environmental quality, mobility infrastructure, to the lack of green open space in the urban fabric. These factors certainly create a bad image of the Pulo Gadung Terminal area. To restore his good name, the theory of Urban Acupuncture and safe mobility has a big role. The quality of mobility is restored with the mobius strip design concept which aims to create a good regional image, facilitate terminal connectivity with nature and the surrounding area, and regenerate Pulo Gadung Terminal and the surrounding area. The application of this theory is expected to support future research in line with the development of people's lifestyles that continue to change.

Abstrak


Terminal Pulo Gadung pernah menjadi terminal tersibuk karena menjadi terminal yang melayani transportasi antar kota dan pulau terbanyak di Jakarta. Namun, saat ini, fungsinya mengalami penurunan vitalis. Terminal Pulo Gadung yang tadinya melayani angkutan antar kota dan antar provinsi, sekarang hanya melayani angkutan dalam kota saja. Seiring penurunan tersebut, terminal ini telah mengalami banyak bentuk degradasi dari segi kualitas lingkungan, infrastruktur mobilitas, hingga kurangnya ruang terbuka hijau pada kawasan urban fabric. Faktor-faktor ini tentunya menimbulkan citra buruk terhadap area Terminal Pulo Gadung. Untuk memulihkan nama baiknya, teori Urban Acupuncture dan safe mobility memiliki peran yang besar. Kualitas mobilitas direstorasi dengan konsep desain strip mobius yang bertujuan menciptakan citra kawasan yang baik, melancarkan konektivitas terminal dengan alam dan daerah sekitarnya, serta meregenerasi Terminal Pulo Gadung dan wilayah di sekelilingnya. Penerapan teori ini diharapkan dapat mendukung penelitian di masa yang akan datang seiring dengan perkembangan pola hidup masyarakat yang terus berubah.
