Abstract

Technology is no longer foreign to students in today's digital era. Almost all educational levels are inseparable  from the use of technology, starting from elementary, middle, high schools, and especially universities.  Introducing Computer Technology to students is crucial in facing the increasingly developing digital era, for  example in Caringin Nunggal Elementary School (SD) is one of the elementary school (SD) education units in  Cianjur Regency, West Java.Access and knowledge gap to technology is still an issue in rural areas. This community service activity aimed to improve the digital literacy of the students at SD Caringin Nunggal, Cianjur Regency, by introducing basic computer parts. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a demonstration approach and direct practice. Students of Class 5 were actively involved in the interactive learning process with media presentation and quizzes. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the functions and workings of computer hardware and software. This activity can be used as a model for digital literacy intervention in other elementary schools in rural areas.
