PKM team of Medical Faculty of Tarumanagara University aims to educate the medical students about early detection and primary treatment of depression in primary medical facilities. The method used in this activity is giving education to medical students. The result of this activity is measured by the level of knowledge before and after education using pre-test and post-test. Total of 27 medical students participated in taking the tests. The mean score of participant’s pre-tests is 69,6±21,03 and mean score of participant’s post-tests is 79,3±20,37. There is a 13,9% knowledge increase from pre-test to post-test score. So, this education has served its purpose in increasing the participants knowledge about early detection and primary treatment of depression in primary medical facilities. It is important to give continuous education about depression in community so that we can prevent negative impact of untreated depression and suicide.
