PENDAMPINGAN PENYUSUNAN LEGAL OPINION BAGI SISWA SMA 16 JAKARTA

Abstract
SMA Negeri 16 Jakarta Barat is one of the top high schools located in Palmerah, West Jakarta. The school is known for its extracurricular programs and its commitment to developing the interests and talents of its students. The PKM program from Universitas Tarumanegara helps introduce students to crucial skills for those interested in pursuing a legal career, particularly in drafting legal opinions. This PKM program was carried out through lectures, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and direct mentoring by lecturers in drafting legal opinions. The lectures provided an introduction to the basic concepts of legal opinion structure and legal research techniques, delivered comprehensively with the aid of visual tools. The FGD aimed to develop communication skills and foster critical thinking in formulating initial legal arguments. Direct mentoring allowed students to receive personal guidance from lecturers in drafting legal opinions based on the discussion results. The program ran smoothly and successfully enhanced the students' understanding and skills in drafting logical, well-structured legal opinions based on solid legal analysis. The results show that this PKM program effectively builds legal writing skills and the students' confidence in dealing with legal issues. Active student participation in each stage of the program also demonstrates that the methods used were well-targeted in supporting legal education at the high school level.
ABSTRAK
SMA Negeri 16 Jakarta Barat merupakan salah satu sekolah menengah atas unggulan yang terletak di Palmerah, Jakarta Barat. SMA Negeri 16 Jakarta Barat dikenal dengan program ekstrakulikuler serta komitmennya dalam mengembangkan minat dan bakat siswanya. Program PKM Universitas Tarumanegara membantu mengenalkan siswa dengan kemampuan yang krusial bagi siswa yang berminat berkarir di bidang hukum, yaitu penyusunan legal opinion. Program PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), serta pendampingan langsung oleh dosen dalam menyusun legal opinion. Ceramah memberikan pengenalan konsep dasar mengenai struktur legal opinion dan teknik riset hukum, yang disampaikan secara komprehensif menggunakan alat bantu visual. FGD berfungsi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi, serta berpikir kritis dalam merumuskan argumen hukum awal. Pendampingan langsung memungkinkan siswa untuk mendapatkan bimbingan personal dari dosen dalam menyusun opini hukum berdasarkan hasil diskusi. Program ini berjalan lancar dan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan siswa dalam menyusun legal opinion yang logis, terstruktur, dan berbasis pada analisis hukum yang kuat. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa program PKM ini efektif dalam membangun keterampilan penulisan hukum dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam menghadapi masalah hukum. Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam setiap tahap kegiatan juga menunjukkan bahwa metode yang digunakan tepat sasaran dalam mendukung pembelajaran hukum di tingkat sekolah menengah atas.
