SIFAT PERMEABILITAS PADA REACTIVE POWDER CONCRETE (RPC) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN LIMBAH KACA (GREEN CONCRETE)

Abstract


Construction material submerged in water must have impermeable property. RPC (Reactive Powder Concrete) use quartz powder, is a new concrete technology. In this research, glass powder was used to replace quartz powder. The use of glass powder at RPC, will produce concrete that is environmentally friendly (green concrete). RPC durability against water penetration observed with water permeability test according to DIN 1048 and RPC resistance to penetration of chlorine ion penetration experiment studied with chlorine ions accelerated method ( RCPT ) based on ASTM C1202. Permeability to water test results concluded that there was no water penetration. RPC can be used in building construction related or submerged in water with high salt content ( > 1500 ppm ). RCPT test concluded that RPC with glass powder is resistant to chlorine ions which are categorized in negligible classes. Replacement of quartz flour with glass powder does not affect the permeability properties .
