Abstract


Flexibel clutch made of rubber material used Daihatsu 6DLM-24 diesel engine as ship propulsion, are often damaged in the rubber area. But to repair it have to replace one set of full coupling. Price of cluth is expensive and must obtain ordering. This becomes a problem for ship operators. To overcome these problems do modivikasi existing clutch, so if there is damage, it only occurs on the rubber only and is easy to do the replacement, so it does not require huge costs and spare parts are always available.Shape its design modification is rubber on the previously shaped plate clutch replaced with rubber cylinders that function like pegs. This rubber cylinders that transmit torque from the engine shaft to the propeller shaft. Rubber cylinders can be produced at a low cost. It required adjustments in the dish for the placement of cylinders.
