Abstract

Working routines and big assertion unconsciously have impacted to millennial’s mental issue, many of them did “hotel vacation” as a solution for self refreshment. Urban Retreat is a space for them to do a temporary retreat  in the refreshment process at urban scale. Urban Retreat is a buildings complex that divided into several masses with dis-orientation design application for not to present the order that commonly experienced by millennials, then it shows flexibility of circulation. Building Complex is designed to hide from urban system by urban forest integration and green barriers to be able to offer a unique atmosphere like not being in a city. Addition of water element into design as refrehing thing also for site’s micro temperature drop. Spaces are designed by phenomenology method, intend to provide a psychological effect on human through senses with the embodiment of architecture in the form of; lighting, shadow, material, texture, temperature, color, layer, and shape.

Abstrak

Rutinitas pekerjaan serta tuntutan yang besar tanpa disadari telah berdampak akan kondisi mental generasi milenial, tak sedikit dari mereka melakukan “hotel vacation” sebagai solusi untuk penyegaran diri. Retret Kota merupakan sebuah wadah bagi mereka untuk menarik diri sementara dalam proses penyegaran kembali di skala urban. Retret Kota merupakan sebuah kompleks bangunan yang terbagi dari beberapa massa dengan penerapan dis-orientasi dalam desain untuk tidak menghadirkan runtutan yang biasa dialami oleh generasi milenial, sehingga adanya fleksibilitas dalam pergerakan didalamnya. Kompleks bangunan didesain bersembunyi dari sistem urban dengan integrasi hutan kota dan barier hijau agar mampu memberikan suasana berbeda seperti tidak berada di sebuah kota. Penambahan elemen air dalam desain sebagai elemen penyegaran serta penurunan suhu mikro tapak. Ruang – ruang didesain secara fenomenologi sebagai metode yang digunakan, bertujuan untuk mampu memberikan efek psikologis terhadap pengunjung melalui indera dengan perwujudan arsitektur berupa; cahaya, bayangan, material, tekstur, suhu, warna, lapisan ruang dan bentuk.
