Abstract

The development and advancement of digital technology, such as Digital Twin, providing real-time updates, and automation technologies like robotics, have been extensively explored in the construction industry. The capabilities of robotics, including enhanced safety features and the ability to perform tasks beyond human capacity, have led to widespread applications in design, construction management, autonomous transportation, and automated structural assembly. However, the limitations of robotics in adapting to changes on the field have prompted researchers to explore the integration of Digital Twin with robotics in the construction industry, aiming to enhance efficiency and safety for human workers. This research methodology is categorized into three stages: literature review, literature selection, and review process. The objective is to provide insights into the extent of Digital Twin and robotics utilization in the construction industry. The current integration of Digital Twin and robotics in ensuring workplace safety and fabrication tasks is still limited. Further research is needed to explore the application of Digital Twin and robotics in combination with other digital technologies such as AI, VR, IoT, and others. This holistic approach will contribute to the maximal development of these technologies.
