KEPENTINGAN RELATIF FAKTOR-FAKTOR INTEGRASI MANAJEMEN KOMUNIKASI PADA PROYEK KONSTRUKSI DI BANDA ACEH

Abstract
Ineffective communication can lead to work delays, quality discrepancies, and cost overruns. Thus, effective communication is needed to support the success of construction projects. Poor communication is one of the causes of project failure with a percentage of 56%. On the other hand, effective communication is considered to increase the suitability of the plan in project completion by up to 17%. Communication is a core competency that must be implemented properly in order to achieve the same strategy, goals, and actions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relative importance of communication management integration factors in construction projects based on the Relative Importance Index (RII) analysis. RII analysis will sort the importance of factors based on the highest to lowest RII values. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to project managers from large and medium qualified contractors in Banda Aceh City. The results of data analysis obtained 3 important factors to integrate communication management in construction projects, i.e.: competence (0.938); management (0.922); and strategy (0.911). If viewed from the sub-factors, there was 5 important sub-factors to integrate communication management in construction projects, i.e.: skill (0.958); attitude (0.950); task clarity (0.942); stakeholder involvement (0.933); and knowledge (0.925).
Abstrak
Komunikasi yang tidak efektif dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan pekerjaan, ketidaksesuaian mutu, dan kelebihan biaya. Sehingga, diperlukan komunikasi yang efektif sebagai penunjang keberhasilan proyek konstruksi. Komunikasi yang buruk menjadi salah satu penyebab kegagalan proyek dengan persentase sebesar 56%. Sebaliknya, komunikasi yang efektif dinilai dapat meningkatkan kesesuaian rencana dalam penyelesaian proyek hingga 17%. Komunikasi menjadi kompetensi inti yang harus dilaksanakan dengan baik agar dapat mencapai strategi, tujuan, dan tindakan yang sama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kepentingan relatif faktor -faktor integrasi manajemen komunikasi pada proyek konstruksi berdasarkan analisis Relative Importance Index (RII). Analisis RII akan mengurutkan kepentingan faktor berdasarkan nilai RII tertinggi sampai terendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada manajer proyek dari kontraktor kualifikasi besar dan menengah di Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil analisis data diperoleh 3 faktor penting untuk mengintegrasikan manajemen komunikasi pada proyek konstruksi, yaitu: kompetensi (0,938); manajemen (0,922); dan strategi (0,911). Jika ditinjau dari subfaktor terdapat 5 subfaktor penting untuk mengintegrasikan manajemen komunikasi pada proyek konstruksi, yaitu: skill (0,958); attitude (0,950); kejelasan tugas (0,942); keterlibatan stakeholders (0,933); dan knowledge (0,925).
