Abstract

North Jakarta is an area of DKI Jakarta which borders the Java Sea, making it a coastal city. Due to this, the DKI Jakarta government made a reclamation project to tidy up the coastal area of North Jakarta so that it becomes more organized as a tourist spot for the public. However, there is a general problem in the area resulting from the reclamation project, namely land subsidence due to embankment. The embankment in the reclamation area has the potential to experience liquefaction because the embankment is saturated with a high groundwater level and the quality of the embankment material is not good. Therefore, soil improvement was carried out using the vibroflotation method based on SNI 8460:2017 to overcome liquefaction in the area under review. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the soil improvement carried out succeeded in minimizing the potential for liquefaction that occurred in the area.
