PENGARUH WORK PASSION TERHADAP INDIVIDUAL WORK PERFORMANCE DENGAN WORK ENGAGEMENT SEBAGAI MEDIATOR PADA DOSEN TETAP

Abstract

Dosen merupakan komponen esensial dengan kinerjanya dalam memprediksi keberlangsungan dan kesuksesan instansi pendidikan tinggi. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran work engagement (WE) sebagai mediator antara peran work passion (WP) terhadap individual work performance (IWP) pada dosen tetap. Pengambilan data penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan teknik snowball sampling dengan partisipan 153 dosen tetap dari berbagai domisili di Indonesia. Alat ukur penelitian ini menggunakan skala IWPQ, PTWS, dan UWES. Dari analisis regresi bootstrapping diperoleh hasil bahwa keempat hipotesis penelitian ini terpenuhi sebagai syarat mediator, yaitu: (a) WP terbukti memengaruhi IWP (βc=0.666, tc=10.972, R2=0.444, p=0.000<0.005); (b) WP terbukti memengaruhi WE (βa=0.806, ta=16.730, R2=0.650, p=0.000<0.05); (c) WE terbukti memengaruhi IWP (βb=0.424, tb=4.381, R2=0.507, p=0.000<0.05); dan (d) WE terbukti memediasi secara parsial antara peran WP terhadap IWP (βc’=0.324, tc’=3.345, R2=0.507, p=0.001<0.005) dan menjadi tetap signifikan setelah memasukkan WE.
