ADJUSTMENT PROBLEM MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PENCAPAIAN AKADEMIK DI TAHUN PERTAMA

Abstract

Perpindahan dari sekolah ke universitas menuntut dilakukannya penyesuaian pada mahasiswa. Ketidakmampuan untuk menyesuaikan diri menyebabkan adjustment problem yang berlanjut menjadi adjustment disorder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi adjustment problem dan hubungan adjustment problem dengan pencapaian akademik pada mahasiswa tahun pertama di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara. Studi cross-sectional dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021 dengan 190 mahasiswa berusia antara 18-25 tahun yang berkuliah di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara sebagai subjek penelitian ini. Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) digunakan untuk mengukur adjustment problem pada mahasiswa baru. Analisis deskriptif chi-square digunakan untuk mencari hubungan antara adjustment problem dan pencapaian akademik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan prevalensi adjustment problem sebesar 22,6 %. Dari responden, 135 (71,1%) adalah perempuan dan mean (SD) usia adalah 18,46 (0,963) tahun. Hasil analisis bivariat adalah p-value 0,00 (p<0,05). Studi ini menegaskan terdapat hubungan antara adjustment problem dan pencapaian akademik pada mahasiswa baru di fakultas kedokteran
