AKTIVITAS FISIK, GANGGUAN PERILAKU MAKAN, DAN KUALITAS HIDUP: BENARKAN PANDEMI MENGUBAH KESADARAN HIDUP SEHAT?

Abstract

Situasi pandemi dan PSBB menyebabkan perubahan perilaku terutama gaya hidup seperti aktivitas fisik dan makan secara massif. Riset ini berujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perubahan aktivitas fisik dan gangguan perilaku makan sebelum dan saat pandemi, serta bagaimana perubahan tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup, yaitu kesehatan fisik dan kesehatan mental. Sampel terdiri dari 172 responden (usia rata-rata = 23.77; SD = 7.73; 90.70% wanita) yang diperoleh melalui online survei. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah SF-12 dan Eating Attitude Tes (EAT). Analisis statistik menggunakan t-test dan Structural Equation Model (SEM). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik jauh lebih tinggi pada saat pandemik daripada sebelumnya. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena meningkatnya kesadaran untuk menjaga kesehatan sehingga tidak mudah tertular COVID-19. Sementara itu, pada saat pandemi terdapat kecenderungan untuk melakukan kontrol makan yang lebih ketat daripada sebelumnya. Menjaga pola makan menjadi lebih ketat membuat individu untuk tetap dapat menjaga berat badannya, berat badan yang tetap terjaga dapat menjaga kesehatan fisik dan kesehatan mental. Analisis SEM menunjukkan bahwa usia, tingkat pendidikan dan gangguan perilaku makan berdampak terhadap kesehatan fisik sedangkan area tempat tinggal dan gangguan makan berdampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental selama pandemi. Aktivitas fisik tidak memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan fisik dan kesehatan mental. Pandemi memberi dampak positif dengan membangun gaya hidup yang lebih sehat dengan melakukan aktivitas fisik. Riset lanjutan dibutuhkan untuk dapat mengetahui keberlajutan pola hidup sehat tersebut.
