Operational disruptions in warehouse can lead to decreased customer satisfaction, necessitating effective and efficient warehouse operations. Lean principles, including lean warehousing, are often used to achieve this. Additionally, increasing supply chain complexity makes companies vulnerable to costly errors, leading to broader adoption of industry 4.0 technologies. Various studies have begun integrating industry 4.0 technologies into lean warehousing practices. However, literature reviews on integrating industry 4.0 with lean principles tend to focus on manufacturing area. This study aims to review researches on the application of industry 4.0 technologies in lean warehousing through a literature review. The findings of the literature review indicate that autonomous robots, simulation, horizontal and vertical system integration, and the industrial internet of things are industry 4.0 pillars that are widely applied alongside lean warehousing methodologies and tools. Most studies analyze overall warehouse processes, while others focus on specific processes within the warehouse. Overall, the use of industry 4.0 technologies in lean warehousing leads to significant positive impacts, including increased efficiency and productivity. Further studies are needed to understand how lean warehousing can serve as a foundation for implementing industry 4.0 technologies and to address the issues and challenges in their concurrent application.
Nadia Angelina Putri Pangestu Joniarto Parung Eric Wibisono Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-10-24 2024-10-24 12 2 79 90 10.24912/jitiuntar.v12i2.31009 MEMPERLUAS KEMAMPUAN ALAT PENCABUT SINGKONG: PENGEMBANGAN LEBIH LANJUT UNTUK KEBUTUHAN PETANI https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/30116
This research builds upon the author's earlier work on the design of a cassava pulling tool. The aim is to develop a non-mechanical or minimally-powered tool that addresses farmer needs. The tool design incorporates Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to ensure user satisfaction. QFD is a method that integrates customer desires into technical requirements during the design phase, prior to production. Data analysis revealed key user desires: lightweight materials, affordability, the ability to pull multiple cassava stems simultaneously, durability, safety, and additional functionalities. House of Quality (HOQ) analysis identified the most crucial attribute (weight of importance: 30%) as the ability to pull multiple stems at once. This finding served as the primary basis for prototype development and technical characteristic definition. Subsequent prototype testing successfully uprooted cassava plants, demonstrating the tool's capability of pulling multiple stems in a single operation.
Susanti Sundari Aam Wahyu Pratama Suharto Ghapur Hidayat Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-10-24 2024-10-24 12 2 91 102 10.24912/jitiuntar.v12i2.30116 IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR DAN TANTANGAN DI SEKTOR PERUNGGASAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KELINCAHAN BISNIS DI AGROINDUSTRI INDONESIA: TINJAUAN LITERATUR https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/30778
The poultry industry in Indonesia, especially the poultry sector, plays a crucial role in ensuring national food security by providing essential animal protein sources. Therefore, business agility is highly necessary to address fluctuating demand issues that can change unpredictably. Many industries in this sector have faced setbacks due to unforeseen shifts in demand. However, in implementing business agility, numerous factors need consideration, such as traditional organizational structures, bureaucratic processes that impede change, and a corporate culture resistant to transformation. This research aims to identify various challenges faced by companies in achieving business agility through a literature review using Publish or Perish software and manual searches on Google Scholar, resulting in the selection and analysis of 23 relevant journals.
