One important aspect of the logistics process is effective warehouse management. One of the main challenges in effective warehouse management is the process of receiving goods in the warehouse which still causes errors such as writing errors, inaccurate recording of the quantity, type and name of goods received and removed from the warehouse which takes quite a long time to process. There has been a lot of research carried out on data capturing activities with the application of OCR but not much has been found that focuses on managing printed and handwritten physical documents in the warehouse area, and preparation of data bases on websites connected to systematic OCR technology, and there is no analysis of technology investment. OCR regarding cost efficiency. Therefore, to help overcome this problem, this research carried out the design and implementation of a warehouse system based on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology with the name WareOCR and analyzed it from an investment perspective using the ROI method. From the research results obtained using the OCR creation model using the CNN method, the accuracy of the WareOCR system on test data is 93%, Return on Investment is calculated at 60.38%, in the NPV calculation in year 3 the figure is IDR 112,911,033 where NPV > 0 for the project implementing WareOCR it is acceptable that this investment provides added value of 493% of the total project cost. This research also has research limitations in the form of invoice formats which need to be standardized so they can be read with the WareOCR tool and the advantages of this research are that they can shorten the working time of the data entry warehouse in inputting information into the database.
Dean Alexander I Nyoman Pujawan Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-05-03 2024-05-03 12 1 1 11 10.24912/jitiuntar.v12i1.28100 OPTIMASI EFISIENSI ENERGI PADA MOBIL LISTRIK EMPAT PENUMPANG MELALUI SISTEM REGENERATIVE BRAKE https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/26612
The continuous use of fossil energy can have an impact on the energy crisis and environmental pollution Greenhouse Gas (GHG) is a contributing factor to climate change. Electric cars are one of the solutions to these problems. Because electric cars use clean and renewable electrical resources to drive their vehicles, they can reduce dependence on limited fossil fuels. In the use of electric cars that utilize regenerative braking technology, the first stage is to design the portion of mechanical braking on both the front and rear wheels, along with regenerative braking. The goal is to obtain a safe braking portion by following the ideal braking upper limit that has been set, as well as the lower limit set by the ECE braking standard. After obtaining a safe braking portion that is in accordance with actual conditions, the next step is to find the energy generated by the regenerative braking system by simulating it using Matlab-simulink. In this simulation, the regenerative brake efficiency can be obtained by comparing the absorbed energy and the available braking energy. The regenerative brake system in this study is able to absorb 1.7623 kWh of energy with an efficiency of 67.31% at a regenerative braking portion of 0.137 and front mechanical braking of 0.6629 at a road friction coefficient of 0.8.
Dwi Handayani Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-05-03 2024-05-03 12 1 12 22 10.24912/jitiuntar.v12i1.26612 ANALISIS POSTUR KERJA DAN USULAN FASILITAS KERJA PADA PROSES PENDISTRIBUSIAN CYLINDER DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE WERA dan NERPA DI PT. Nabolak Fisheries is one of the fish farms in Toba Regency. Nabolak Fisheries can process fish harvests directly into packaged derivative products such as fish meat processed into nuggets, fish bones processed into crackers, and dregs from processing residues used as catfish feed. Nabolak fisheries have the potential to produce fish pellets to reduce operational costs and increase revenue. With their own pellet production machine, fish farmers in the Nabolak Fishery can produce their feed and add derivative products. The design of pellet production machines that are effective, efficient, and follow the needs of fish farmers in order to increase farmer productivity. The Axiomatic House of Quality (AHOQ) method is an effective method for solving pellet machine design problems. This method determines what machine specifications are needed by involving customer requirements, functional requirements, and other elements. After obtaining the design and specifications, modeling was carried out using Solidwork software. Solidwork will feature a three-dimensional design. The three-dimensional design produced by SolidWorks is then given to the blacksmith to make the pellet production machine.
Hadi Sutanto Saragi Iswanti Sihaloho Isak Mauliate Wesly M. Factors that influence the goal of successful production are not only about investment, capital, suppliers, machines, skills, and distributors but also one that must be observed is the layout planning and placement of factory facilities. PT. Eworx Indonesia is a company engaged in the processing industry, especially manufacturing in the metal processing sector. PT. Eworx Indonesia intends to relocate the production floor in order to increase production productivity. In this study, the proposed layout design on the new production floor was carried out using the SLP, Blocplan, and FLAP methods. The design is done by collecting direct observation data and interviews with the operator on duty. It was found that the initial layout had problems with operator movement that was not optimal and the placement of several machines and facilities that did not pay attention to material flow resulting in a slowdown in production time. Therefore, in order to get the best layout, a comparison is made on the results of the three alternative layouts with the smallest displacement distance comparison so that the production process will run more optimally. The best proposed layout is the systematic layout planning (SLP) method with the smallest material displacement distance of 147.4 meters and material handling costs Rp. 223,958 per day. Flexsim simulations show this layout can increase production output by 15%-34%.
Gabrielle Halim Lina Gozali Helena Juliana Kristina Christhoper Robin Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-05-15 2024-05-15 12 1 57 68 10.24912/jitiuntar.v12i1.29641 ANALISIS KUALITAS LAYANAN PENGUSAHA PENGURUSAN JASA KEPABEANAN (PPJK) PADA PERUSAHAAN FREIGHT FORWARDING MENGGUNAKAN SERVICE QUALITY (SERVQUAL) https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/27527
The increasing trend in import-export activities demands optimal service, especially in customs clearance.
