In order to address the issue raised by GameDev FTI Untar's earlier research, a website with three separate user types—admin, student, and guest—was created using the Software Development Life Cycle Prototype model. This website must now be tested to be able to be implemented in GameDev FTI Untar. The System Usability Scale was used as a tool to rate the usability of Gamedev FTI Untar's website in this study. The website's usability level is used to assess its readiness for implementation. The System Usability Scale is utilized due to the research's timing constraints. The results of the test were excellent, with an aggregate rating of 89.71 points out of 100, which is considered "A+” in the curved grading scale. Because the goal has been achieved, there will be no more testing in the future for GameDev FTI Untar’s website. The website can be implemented and ready for usage.
Carlene Lim, Wasino Wasino, Darius Andana Haris Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31122 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE WEBSITE PROGRAM https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31178
The Indonesian nation has a long history of diverse cultural journeys. A number of intangible cultural heritages
need to be preserved which refers to the 2003 UNESCO Convention. One of the best solutions for preserving
intangible cultural heritage is to use information technology, namely websites. It is very appropriate to use a
website to preserve intangible cultural heritage, which means introducing and promoting intangible cultural
heritage to the wider community, especially the younger generation. The creation of the Intangible Cultural
Heritage Website Program aims to help BPNB (Cultural Value Preservation Center) in the DKI Jakarta, Lampung,
West Java and Banten areas. BPNB has a function to preserve and promote the acculturation of cultural heritage
values to the wider community. The previous research is already conducted and the result was the user interface
design of the website. The user interface design was seen as suitable already by BPNB. The next stage was to
develop the database using MySQL and the website using PHP. Waterfall model was used to develop the website.
User Acceptance Test have been carried out and the results are the website was successfully installed at BPNB
Bandung, the users also says that the website is really helpful to document the intangible cultural heritage and also
to socialize to the public. The users already seen the website and accepts the website fully. There was feedback from
user which is to create the Android version of the website so it can be accessed more easily.
Zyad Rusdi, Carlene Lim, Ery Dewayani Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31178 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 ROAD CONSTRUCTION CHANGE ORDER ANALYSIS (TECHNICAL CAUSES AND INITIATORS) https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31165
During construction, change orders often occur. Based on
production data obtained from the company, product quality decreased by 10.28% from 2019 to 2022. Poor product
quality accompanied by increasing costs of production raw materials adversely affect company finances, so this
study aims to reduce the costs required in the production process. The cost of this production process can be
reduced by reducing the waste that occurs during the production process. To deal with this problem, this research
was conducted on one of the textile companies in Indonesia that produces fabric. The research began by identifying
the existing waste problem by conducting a special questionnaire survey called waste assessment questionaire
(WAQ). The respondents in this survey were three people from the textile company who were responsible for the
course of the fabric production process in the factory. The results of this questionnaire were used to model the
relationship between the types of waste and the types of waste that occurred the most. The results of data analysis
showed that there were four types of waste that significantly occurred, namely idle time by 23.9%, unnecessary
processes by 20.7%, waste due to product defects by 20.1%, and waste due to excess production by 18.9%. These
four types of waste will be further analyzed to eliminate the waste effectively and efficiently.
Kevin Adrian, Wilson Kosasih, Lithrone Laricha Salomon Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31179 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 QUALITY IMPROVEMENT THROUGH DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF TOTE BAG PROTOTYPES USING QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT METHOD (CASE STUDY IN SMEs X) https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31215
Every consumer wants a quality product. The presence of automation is a technology
that is very helpful in increasing production. Automation cannot be separated from the existence of a control system
to regulate or process an instruction or order. The Modular Production System is a station unit consisting of various
types of stations that simulate production system designs on a small scale before being realized in real situations. The
work process of the Modular Production System is controlled using a PLC. PLC needs to be programmed to manage
the work process of the Modular Production System. The programming language commonly used in PLC
programming is ladder diagrams. The existence of a control system on the Modular Production System using PLC
will make the Modular Production System run automatically. It can communicate with other Modular Production
Systems to become more efficient. Therefore this design discusses controlling the Modular Production System using
a PLC with a ladder diagram. The distribution stations and pick and place stations are selected for the Modular
Production System. With a control system on the Modular Production System distribution station and pick and place
station, the Modular Production System can work automatically and communicate with each other between stations.
The result of the design is an increase in the efficiency of the system cycle time and process accuracy.
Hilman Owanda, Didi Widya Utama, Agus Halim Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31217 Thu, 18 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 ENHANCING INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM PERFORMANCE WITH 1D-CNN AND BI -LSTM COMBINATION https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31218
Due to the ever-increasing network traffic, the demand for a system that contain Network Intrusion Detection systems have increased as cloud technology usage has become widespread. Recent research has shown that deep learning models are effective for a variety of applications involving natural language processing on a critical part of Network Intrusion Detection such as anomaly detection. The architecture of a deep learning model has two layers: a pattern-matching layer and a fully linked layer for training the label of attack. In this study, we use a deep learning model with a modified architecture that integrates pattern matching with convolutional neural networks (CNN) and bidirectional long short-term memories (Bi-LSTM). Waste
problems still often arise due to the habits of people who still throw garbage out of place, so that the existingarbage
becomes scattered in several places that cause a very pungent odor, even triggering flood disasters. The problem
that is difficult to handle is the placement of metal and non-metal waste, if the two wastes are mixed, it is difficult to
manage the two types of waste. The emergence of computer vision from autonomous cars, robotics, surveillance, and many more has led
to challenge Artificial intelligence's confidence accuracy in detecting an object. Many artificial intelligence
algorithms are used by the industry, one of them is You Only Look Once version 8 (YOLOv8). YOLOv8 is a deep learning model for object detection. YOLOv8, which is developed by Joseph Redmon and Ali Farhadi is a powerful
method to detect an object in real time because YOLOv8 has the capability of processing high-resolution images
at high speeds. The research discusses about accuracy YOLOv8 in detecting object with a certain distance from
far to very close distance. The dataset is used to train the model of YOLOv8. The dataset is collected by taking
photos of an object with constant lighting but different distances. This research aims to obtain the most effective
distance that the YOLOv8 computer vision algorithm model could detect. The hipothessis is there is connection
between distance and detection accuracy of YOLOv8. If the distance increases, the detection accuracy decreases.
However, if the object is close the detection accuracy increases. So based on the results, a conclussion could be
concluded that a YOLOv8 model would have the highest accuracy at a certain distance.
Vinsensius Reinard, Yulius Kristianto, Meirista Wulandari Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31242 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 AUTOMATED DELIVERY ROBOT SYSTEM DESIGN FOR OFFICE USING ESP32 TECHNOLOGY https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31243
The emergence of Industry 4.0 has brought about major changes in various industries, including the use of Internet
of Things (IoT) technology. In recent
decades, technological developments have allowed us to create more sophisticated and creative
musical instruments. one of them is by designing a simple musical instrument with arduino based touchless technology. In recent years, touchless technology has become increasingly
popular in product and application development. Touchless technology allows users to interact
with devices in a contactless manner or in other words not touching the device itself. The
purpose of making a simple musical instrument design with touchless technology based on
Arduino is to design a musical instrument that can be used even without touching the musical
instrument. and it is also hoped that users, in this case children, will be interested or like the
musical instrument. In addition, by designing a simple musical instrument with arduino-based
touchless technology, it can provide an innovative and hygienic music playing experience for
children. meaning that the touchless technology used in the musical instrument can minimize
physical touch or physical contact for children, and also minimize the risk of transmission of
diseases or viruses in children. With the experimental method, namely realizing a simple musical
instrument with touchless technology, measurements can be made of the performance of the
musical instrument and the effectiveness of touchless technology which is the main factor in the
purpose of this tool, which is expected that children can be interested in the world of music
Ferdyansyah, Joni Fat, Yohanes Calvinus Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31251 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF THERMOELECTRIC COOLER BOX FOR MUD CRAB (SCYLLA) https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31252
Mud Crab (Scylla) is a species of crab that is popular seafood that can be easly found in Indonesia, especially in
Sumatera Island. A higher quality
concrete in multi-story buildings can reduce the cross-sectional dimensions of lateral resisting elements (earthquake
forces). Normal concrete is formed from aggregates (coarse + fine) and paste (a mixture of cement, sand, water, and
additives) in general. High-quality concrete is achieved through the use of innovative materials such as steel fiber.
Additionally, to form ultra-high concrete, it is made to be close to homogeneous. For this reason, the use of coarse
aggregates is eliminated, hence fine aggregates can blend perfectly with cement and other innovative ingredients to
form a concrete paste with higher strength than coarse aggregates. Concrete structural elements cannot be separated
from shear problems. Shear forces generally combine with bending, torsion, and axial forces. Therefore, it is
important to understand the interaction between shear and other forces.
Daniel Christianto, Tavio, Helga Lenita, Rafael Dean Widjaja, Amanda Greta Theodora, Yenny Untari Liucius Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31314 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 DETERMINING THE CAPACITY OF A PILE WITH THE CONDITION OF ENCOUNTERING SOIL WITH MANY LENSES https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31315
In a structural construction, one of the important parts that need to be made to support the structure is the foundation.
The foundation plays a crucial role, so if there is a settlement in the foundation of a structure, an investigation is
needed to address it. In a project in Serpong, South Tangerang, there is a case where there is a layer of soil with
lenses, which is a condition where there is a hard soil layer with an N-SPT value greater than 50 and a thickness of
about 1-4 m, this hard soil layer is located between two layers of soil with an N-SPT values less than 50. The presence
of these soil lenses, located at depths of 8 m, 14 m, 24 m, and 42 m with varying thicknesses, cannot be identified
through the Cone Penetration Test (CPT) and is feared to cause a settlement in the pile foundation. This is because
the maximum capacity of the cone penetration test is only up to 2.5 tonf and cannot penetrate these soil lenses. This
research uses soil data in the form of two boring log data, which will then be analyzed and compared for the axial
bearing capacity and the settlement that occurs if the foundation piles occupy each soil condition that has a soil lens
layer. The Meyerhoff and Hanna method is used to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity, while the Alpha
Thomlinson method is used to calculate the settlement.
Alfred Jonathan Susilo, Gregorius Sandjaja Sentosa, Aniek Prihatiningsih, Michelle Lu Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31315 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 SHALLOW FOUNDATION ANALYSIS OF A TWO-STORY HOUSE ON A FORMER PADDY FIELD https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31316
The foundation becomes an element that receives forces from the building construction above, channels, them to the
subsoil, and serves to support the building so that there is no structural failure from the bottom. The sole foundation
itself is a foundation that supports structures directly on the ground whose depth is arguably shallow, or generally at
most 3 meters above ground level. This shallow foudndation is analyzed and designed in such a way as to be able to
support a two-story house building with soil conditions that are former rice fields. This research starts from analyzing
existing case studies. Before proceeding with the data calculation process, it is necessary to understand the basic
theory and also the formulas that will be used in this research. Afer that, the data calculation process and sondir test
results were carried out, which can be concluded that the dominant soil is dense clay. Therefore, a shallow foundation
is still feasible to use for lower structure. Next thing is to do the planning and calculation based on bearing capacity
and settlement permit. The planning results will then be analyzed to determine the coefficients used in determining
the costs in the use of shallow foundations. In this study, the cost calculation that has been carried out has a total of
Rp 119,678,664.38. From the total costs, it can be concluded that the use of shallow foundations still makes sense and
is one of the best options in the construction of this two story house
Savior Leon, Aniek Prihatiningsih, Jenifer Fabiola Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31316 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 FINDING THE OPTIMAL REINFORCEMENT FOR VERY DEEP BORED PILE FOUNDATION https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31317
The foundation is the most important part of any structure in the construction process. A failure in the foundation
can cause the entire structure to fail if cannot withstand the forces or weight of the structure above. The foundation
is required to bear the external loads or weight of the structure, even though the upper structure may be strong and
sturdy. Bored pile foundation is the most commonly used foundation type for building projects or multi-story
structures. The distribution of forces on pile foundations is inversely proportional to its depth, and the part of the
pile close to the forces will bear a greater load than the deeper part of the pile. This consideration makes the design
of reinforcement for pile foundations variable according to the distribution of forces acting on the pile according to
its depth. This study analyzes the reinforcement requirements for a pile foundation using laboratory-calculated soil
parameters and data specific to the Jakarta area. The first step is to determine the soil parameters, then calculate
the force diagram using the Matlock and Reese method, and finally, determine the reinforcement requirements
based on the force diagram obtained. After that, the calculated reinforcement needs to be adjusted according to the
applicable requirements for a pile with a length of 65 meters and a diameter of 1800 mm. The required
reinforcement is D13-75 for transverse reinforcement, 20D32, 16D29, and 8D32 for longitudinal reinforcement
according to their depth.
Gregorius Sandjaja Sentosa, Aniek Prihatiningsih, Kilian Rohan, Ricky Putra Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Application on Sciences, Technology and Engineering https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31317 Thu, 31 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 EVALUATION OF ACCESSIBILITY OF WHEELCHAIR USERS IN THE SMITH BUILDING, ALAM SUTRA, TANGERANG CITY, INDONESIA https://journal.untar.ac.id/index.php/ijaste/article/view/31320
The existence of skyscrapers continues to increase in the city of Jakarta and its surroundings. The robot is implemented in the foreign exchange (forex) market for the EURJPY, GBPJPY and EURGBP pairs. Position opening is based on technical analysis using the Moving Average (MA) method. A Buy position will be opened if there is an upward cross from the small period MA to the big period, and conversely a Sell position will be opened if there is a downward cross from the small period MA to the big period. The robot works based on two cycles that have been defined, namely the first cycle in the form of buying EURJPY, selling GBPJPY and selling EURGBP; and the second cycle is selling EURJPY, buying GBPJPY and buying EURGBP. Each cycle is a complete position of Triangle Hedging. Robots can also work with user interaction. If the user opens a position with a certain lot size, the robot will perform lot calculations and determine cycles to hedge properly. The results of testing the robot show that the robot works well according to its purpose.
