DESIGNING A BOOK OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN PUSPANITA ECO SPIRIT CENTER

Abstract

In general, treatment has two types of methods, namely medical or what could also be called medical methods and non-medical treatment, aka traditional methods. Traditional healing methods should develop in our tropical country, Indonesia. Medicinal plants are plants whose parts can used as medicine. Puspanita Eco Spririt Center medicinal plant garden but needed proper media for information on these plants. The information media that clients need a book about medicinal plants found in the medicinal plant garden at their retreat house, with the target being teenagers aged 16-20 years who are interested in nature and are visiting the retreat house garden. To attract teenagers' attention to reading books on medicinal plants, This research used qualitative methods with interviews with puspanita foundation,, observation, and literature study. Based on brainstorming, the creative concept produced is the keyword "natural healing" with a tone of voice for the comfortable, peaceful, and natural.. Therefore, the color tones used are warm, natural, and the layout design is simple. .The medicinal plant book for the retreat house using the applied illustrations. The approach of using illustrations makes the book more appealing and different from typical informational media.
