PELATIHAN BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR (BHD) DI GEREJA KATOLIK SANTO KRISTOFORUS JAKARTA BARAT

Abstract
Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) is one of the leading causes of death. Sudden cardiac arrest is different from a heart attack or known as a heart attack/myocardial infarction. Sudden cardiac arrest can be caused by several events, the most common of which are hypoxia, hypovolemia, myocardial infarction, hyperkalemia, heat stroke, electric shock, drowning, trauma, and drug overdose. Data released by the Basic Health Research in 2013 showed an increasing trend in the incidence of heart disease from 0.5% in 2013 to 1.5% in 2018. This increase in the incidence of heart disease is also one of the factors that causes someone to suddenly experience a heart attack or OHCA. For this reason, it is important for the community to master basic knowledge and skills regarding SCD. These skills are a series of actions given in emergency situations. Initial assessment, activation of the emergency response system, and SCD actions carried out by the first person providing assistance are the main factors that determine a person's survival. The purpose of this PKM is to provide knowledge and skills regarding Basic Life Support for the congregation at the St. Christopher Catholic Church. The method used is training for the congregation. The activity was carried out on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in knowledge from the participants
ABSTRAK
Kematian jantung mendadak atau dikenal dengan istilah sudden cardiac death (SCD) merupakan salah satu penyebab terbesar kematian. Henti jantung mendadak berbeda dan bukan suatu serangan jantung atau dikenal dengan istilah heart attack/infark miokard. Henti jantung mendadak dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa kejadian, yang paling sering seperti hipoksia, hipovolemia, infark miokard, hiperkalemia, serangan panas (heat stroke), sengatan listrik, tenggelam, trauma dan overdosis obat. Data yang dikeluarkan oleh Riset Kesehatan Dasar pada tahun 2013 dan menunjukkan tren peningkatan penyakit jantung yakni 0,5% pada 2013 menjadi 1,5% pada 2018. Peningkatan penyakit jantung ini juga menjadi salah satu faktor seseorang secara mendadak mendapatkan serangan jantung atau OHCA. Untuk itu, pentingnya masyarakat menguasai pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar mengenai BHD sangat diperlukan. Keterampilan ini merupakan rangkaian tindakan yang diberikan pada situasi darurat. Penilaian awal, pengaktifan sistem respon emergensi, dan tindakan BHD yang dikerjakan oleh orang pertama yang memberikan bantuan, merupakan faktor utama penentu kelangsungan hidup seseorang. Tujuan dari PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai Bantuan Hidup Dasar bagi Jemaat di Gereja Katolik Santo Kristoforus. Metode yang dipakai berupa pelatihan kepada para jemaat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, tanggal 9 Juni 2024. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta secara bermakna dengan perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest sebesar 21.62 poin, setelah dilakukan pelatihan BHD. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner evaluasi kegiatan juga didapatkan angka secara keseluruhan lebih dari 85% kegiatan berjalan dengan baik
