PERAN SINAR MATAHARI DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN DAYA TAHAN TUBUH DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the Corona virus. Breaking the chain of transmission is the key to stopping the spread of this disease. Efforts to increase endurance by implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) such as consuming balanced nutrition, sunbathing and physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day, adequate rest, utilizing traditional health are steps that can be taken by the community. Sunbathing activities help convert Vitamin D under the skin into its active form. Vitamin D is a nutrient that plays a role in increasing the body's immune system. Cadre is part of a community that has an important role in efforts to increase the capacity of the community, especially in improving the quality of health. The target of this activity is the cadres of the Tomang Village, West Jakarta, which is the target area of FK UNTAR. Based on the description above, this service activity is carried out to increase the knowledge and insight of cadres on the role of sunlight in increasing body resistance so that it can help reduce the incidence of Covid-19 in the Tomang Village area. This activity was carried out online due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.


Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus Corona. Pemutusan rantai penularan merupakan kunci untuk menghentikan penyebaran penyakit ini. Upaya peningkatkan daya tahan tubuh dengan menerapkan pola hidup bersih sehat (PHBS) seperti mengonsumsi gizi seimbang, berjemur dan beraktivitas fisik minimal 30 menit sehari, istirahat yang cukup, memanfaatkan kesehatan tradisional merupakan langkah-langkah yang dapat ditempuh oleh masyarakat. Aktifitas berjemur membantu perubahan Vitamin D di bawah kulit menjadi bentuk aktif. Vitamin D merupakan salah satu zat gizi yang berperan dalam meningkatkan sistem imunitas tubuh. Kader merupakan bagian dari suatu komunitas yang memiliki peran penting dalam upaya peningkatan kapasitas masyarakatnya, secara khusus dalam peningkatan kualitas kesehatan. Target dari kegiatan ini adalah kader Kelurahan Tomang Jakarta Barat yang merupakan daerah binaan FK UNTAR. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta wawasan kader terhadap peran sinar matahari dalam meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh sehingga dapat membantu menurunkan kejadian Covid-19 di wilayah Kelurahan Tomang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara daring dikarenakan situasi pandemi Covid-19.
