STUDI DESKRIPTIF TENTANG INOVASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN MAHASISWA PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract

Innovation is one of the essential element globally but to implement this thing into several field might challenging because it fluctuated within times. The research objective measured the importance of entrepreneurial innovation factor for students. Researcher use qualitative descriptive method to see the big picture of students responses about entrepreneurial innovation. The research result show varied responds but at the most, students agree that they had entrepreneurial intention and think that entrepreneurial innovation is important as well. They also realized that digital instrument or technology have great linkage with entrepreneurial innovation. There are plenty of businesses and non-businesses field which considered to need innovation and those includes: primary business sectors, secondary business sectors, social non-profit sectors and governmental sectors. The research also show that some of the students are not yet started their entrepreneurial activities because of risk aversion, not having enough initial capital to start the businesses or even thing theirselves as not having capability to run a business by themselves. From this research, researcher concluded that entrepreneurial innovation is one of the key factor for the business sustainability and there will also some other added researches about this especially the relationship between entrepreneurial innovation and technological advancement.

Inovasi merupakan sesuatu yang penting akan tetapi dalam implementasinya di berbagai bidang senantiasa menantang karena berubah sesuai dengan perkembangan waktu. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat sejauh apakah peran inovasi kewirausahaan bagi mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Untuk memenuhi tujuan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk melihat gambaran umum dari respons mahasiswa terhadap inovasi kewirausahaan. Secara garis besar, hampir semua mahasiswa memiliki intensi untuk berwirausaha dan menganggap inovasi kewirausahaan sesuatu yang penting. Adapun sebagian besar juga menyadari sangat pentingnya instrumen digital atau teknologi dalam kaitannya dengan inovasi dalam kewirausahaan. Berdasarkan responden mahasiswa yang sama juga diungkapkan bahwa jaringan dan kemampuan pribadi merupakan hal terpenting bagi mahasiswa dalam berwirausaha serta inovasi dapat dilakukan di banyak sektor mulai dari sektor bisnis primer, sektor bisnis sekunder, sektor sosial nirlaba bahkan sampai sektor kepemerintahan. Dari hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa inovasi kewirausahaan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi adalah sesuatu yang penting dan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu faktor yang diperhitungkan untuk diteliti lebih lanjut khususnya berkaitan dengan penggunaan instrumen digital dan teknologi dalam pendidikan kewirausahaan. Walaupun demikian, perlu dicermati bahwa untuk melakukan inovasi kewirausahaan sejak di bangku perkuliahan bagi kebanyakan mahasiswa merupakan hal yang menantang karena banyak yang merasa tidak memiliki modal dan tidak memiliki keberanian untuk mengambil risiko berwirausaha.
