EDUKASI DASAR AKUNTANSI PEMBUATAN BUKU BESAR DAN NERACA SALDO PERUSAHAAN JASA PADA SISWA SISWI SMA TARSISIUS 1

Abstract

In studying accounting subjects, high school students should know the cycles in accounting. The problem that often occurs in high school students is the lack of understanding of accounting concepts, especially in posting journals to the ledger, making balance sheets and also working papers. For this reason, we approach tarsisius I high school students by providing training on procedures for how to make ledgers, balance sheets and working papers more intensely. In addition, this activity is to provide basic accounting knowledge especially for the service sector., namely the recording of service income and operational costs. It is hoped that female students can understand and develop their own accounting knowledge into other types of businesses so that they get a comprehensive picture of the accounting cycle and can apply it in college or when they later enter the world of work. The result of this service activity is that students are more interested in learning accounting because they already understand the concept of accounting itself and they also get more adequate knowledge about accounting.

Dalam mempelajari mata pelajaran akuntansi, siswa SMA harus mengetahui siklus-siklus dalam akuntansi. Permasalah yang sering terjadi di siswa SMA yaitu kurangnya pemahaman mengenai konsep akuntansi terutama dalam memposting jurnal ke buku besar, membuat neraca saldo dan juga kertas kerja. Untuk itu kita melakukan pendekatan ke siswa SMA Tarsisius I dengan memberi pelatihan mengenai tata cara membuat buku besar, neraca saldo dan kertas kerja secara lebih intens. Selain itu, kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan akuntansi dasar terutama untuk sektor jasa., yaitu pencatatan pendapatan jasa dan biaya operasional. Diharapkan siswa siswi dapat memahami dan mengembangkan sendiri pengetahuan akuntansinya ke jenis usaha yang lain sehingga mendapatkan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai siklus akuntansi dan dapat menerapkannya di bangku kuliah ataupun pada saat nanti terjun ke dunia kerja. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para siswa lebih tertarik untuk belajar akuntansi karena mereka sudah memahami konsep akuntansi itu sendiri dan mereka juga mendapatkan pengetahuan yang lebih memadai mengenai akuntansi.
