OPTIMALISASI FUNGSI BALAI BESAR TAMAN NASIONAL GUNUNG LEUSER MEDAN MELALUI PERANCANGAN INTERIOR KANTOR

Abstract

Gunung Leuser National Park Center in Medan to develop collaborative management of the area which in the process has increased the intensity and frequency of data collection activities, but the utilization of data from the field has not been optimal because the flow of data transmission and storage has not been effective. The Conservation Information Data Unit under the Technical Division of Conservation of the Gunung Leuser National Park has a separate workspace between the Head of the Technical Division and the section below it. This causes a lack of effective coordination in this section. Management of data and information is not yet optimal which requires the application of technology and information management systems that are coordinated in a data management unit to support the implementation of organizational functions. The stages of this community service activity are focus group discussion (FGD), space orientation and measurement, identification of existing infrastructure and personnel, proposals, preliminary design, design development, final design, and the stage of building space & installing furniture. The results of this community service activity are in the form of interior design implemented by furniture layout, interior element arrangement and furniture selection to support the functions and activities of the Conservation Information Data Unit (UDIK). Community service activities for UNTAR lecturers as the implementation of the “Tridharma” of Higher Education with government institutions, Gunung Leuser National Park Center and the Wildlife Conservation Society show a strategic partnership and provide benefits for all part.

Balai Besar Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser di Medan dalam rangka mengembangkan kolaborasi pengelolaan kawasan TNGL yang dalam prosesnya telah meningkatkan intensitas dan frekuensi aktivitas pengambilan data di lapangan, namun pemanfaatan terhadap data hasil dari lapangan belum optimal karena alur pengiriman dan penyimpanan data belum efektif. Unit Data Informasi Konservasi di bawah Bidang Teknis Konservasi BBTNGL memiliki ruang kerja terpisah antara ruang Kepala Bidang Teknis dan Seksi dibawahnya. Hal ini menyebabkan kurangnya efektifitas koordinasi di bagian tersebut. Pengelolaan data dan informasi belum optimal yang membutuhkan penerapan teknologi dan sistem manajemen informasi yang terkoordinasi dalam suatu Unit kelola data sebagai penunjang penyelenggaraan fungsi organisasi. Tahapan kegiatan PKM ini adalah focus group discussion (FGD), orientasi dan pengukuran ruang, identifikasi sarana prasarana dan personil eksisting, proposal, desain awal, pengembangan desain, desain final dan tahap pembangunan ruang & installing furniture. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini adalah berupa rancangan interior yang diimplementasikan layout furniture, penataan elemen interior dan pemilihan furniture untuk mendukung fungsi dan aktivitas Unit Data Informasi Konservasi (UDIK). Kegiatan PKM dosen UNTAR sebagai pelaksanaan tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dengan lembaga pemerintah Balai Besar TNGL dan Wildlife Conservation Society menunjukkan kemitraan yang strategis dan memberikan manfaat bagi semua pihak.
