Peran Career Adaptability Terhadap Career Anxiety Pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan mahasiswa setelah lulus adalah bekerja dan menjalankan karirnya sesuai dengan apa yang diinginkan. Namun, situasi yang terjadi saat ini membuat para lulusan sarjana sulit untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang diinginkan. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa tingkat akhir merasa cemas memikirkan karirnya di masa depan. Kecemasan mahasiswa tingkat akhir terhadap karirnya disebut career anxiety. Untuk dapat mengatasi career anxiety dibutuhkan kemampuan adaptabilitas agar mahasiswa dapat menyesuaikan diri terhadap keadaan yang sedang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran career adaptability terhadap career anxiety pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan total partisipan 380 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan Google Form dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS 26. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel career adaptability yaitu Career Adaptability Scale. Lalu, alat ukur untuk mengukur variabel career anxiety yaitu Tourism and Hospitality College Student Career Anxiety Scale. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa career adaptability dan career anxiety memiliki hubungan yang negatif. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin besar tingkat career adaptability,maka akan semakin rendah tingkat career anxiety pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Setelah analisa lebih dalam, diketahui bahwa career adaptability memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap career anxiety sebesar 5.8% .
